A New Hat for Luke!

We are potty training. Something we had tried to start in the fall but found it best to postpone with Lukes diagnosis of Diabetes. He had enough to handle then, so now we are hitting it hard. Well, at least we are trying to get the point accross, it just hasn't sunk in yet that the undies are really for the behind and not a new hat! My favorite is when he puts his face into the leg hole. My kids seem to like hats, but this one is definately not an outside wear. Just think of the blackmail pictures I'm collecting...no I'm not mean and divious, just enjoying the little things that make all those hard sreaming, hitting, messing days worth it!

The Hat Girl..."Sarah June"

Just had to add a picture of our little hat girl. She loves to put anything she can on her head; even if it means she can't quite see. Gotta love her. Sarah is also trying to mimic sounds, especially when we sing a song like "Twinkle little Star." She pipes up real loud on the last word of each phrase. Sarah is also a mommy's girl. She (unlike my other 3 children) would rather have mommy hold her, especially when mommy can't hold her. Her stubborn nature shines through and results in loud bellowing screams; such as yesterday during Sacrament Meeting when she realized Luke was on my lap, she wanted to be on my lap and began a hitting, screaming fit until Bro. Lowe picked her up and hauled her out. That is my usual Sunday. We always have to have at least one dramatic exit a week. I'm sure Jason enjoys sitting on the stand seeing the show we put on for everyone. It's sad to say but it is almost a relief to be asked to speak, just so I get one Sacrament Meeting a year in peace.

Just Sleeping...

I couldn't resist this darling picture of Whitney and Ruffy her "High School Musical" Build A Bear! Too cute for words.

The Doctor's In!

Dr. Luke is in the house. He had fun listening to sister's heart. Yesterday he infromed his dad that Sarah was sick and needed to go to the hospital. Dad insisted that she was fine and didn't need to go after all. Luke disagreed and added "Dad Sarah's got diabetes, she has to go to the hospital." I think he's tired of being the only one with diabetes and getting insulin shots 4 times a day. Poor little guy, it must be very frustrating for him.

Welcome All...

Just a note to tell everyone how excited we are to have our own family blog. The background behind this is the Ice Age 2 Meltdown. It seems very fitting as we have so many of them a day. (It is impossible to avoid with a 18 month old and a 3 year old.) Some days I feel like I'm the one hanging on for dear life. Thus it is very fitting right now. You will see some of the good, bad and possibly ugly of our family life, well hopefully not too ugly. Check each week for updates, stories and funny photos. Please feel free to share any with your family and friends that may know us. We love our family & friends and miss them dearly. Since we are so far from everyone we have great hope this will give you all a better glimps into our day to day life.

Much Love - Mels

Welcome to the Miller family blog...

This is our first post, but we look forward to many more to come.
